Continuous Improvement:
- The Las Animas School utilizes a variety of processes to utilize stakeholders in processes for continuous improvement. One being the S-CAP review cycles. The District Accountability has school wide and community representation, meeting 4 times a year. At the school level, teams are utilized for staff to be involved in decision making processes. The leadership team allows for feedback and data to drive their long-term and annual goals.
- Earlier this month a task force of community members, families, staff and students met to determine a roadmap to improve stakeholder input in decision-making and improve authentic family engagement.

Cultivate a more connected school community by expanding opportunities for shared decision-making and authentic family engagement. This includes partnering with families in individual student goal setting and intentionally elevating family voice in school- and district-level initiatives, events, and activities.

Communication:
- Multiple sources of communication are used to keep our families informed. The district utilizes multiple social media platforms to share celebrations, news and needs of the district. This year, the district level COMTSS team has started sharing information in a newsletter shared electronically as well as printed and shared in local businesses for community members to take home and read. Alma is used as the student information system and is new this year. Texts, emails and announcements are made using the system built into Alma. Teachers and Coaches use apps such as Remind to communicate with stakeholders.

Develop clear, consistent, and timely communication systems that promote meaningful two-way dialogue with families and the broader community. Emphasis will be placed on increasing proactive, positive, and strengths-based communication that keeps families informed, engaged, and valued as partners.

Vision:
- The school’s mission and vision statements were written by the staff through a structured decision making process to ensure to capture the true essence of both the elementary as well as the JH/HS buildings.
